Alzheimer’s Pakistan kicked off World Alzheimer’s Month with an Awareness Lecture at Govt. Islamia College for Women Cantt, Lahore.

World Alzheimer’s Month has started!

A World Alzheimer’s Month (WAM) Basketball Challenge Match was played at Kinnaird College Lahore on 20th September 2019.

Dr. Hussain Jafri, Secretary General of Alzheimer’s Pakistan conducted the session, which covered topics such as overview of Dementia, its prevalence, introduction to Alzheimer’s Pakistan and its Services and World Alzheimer’s Month. The Awareness Session was attended by a large number of students and staff of the university.
Dr. Jafri presented on the global and national incidence of the disease. He highlighted the Alzheimer’s Care Services available in Pakistan and spoke on the support options available for those living with Dementia and their care givers. Dr. Hussain Jafri and also informed the participants about the Dementia Friends Movement and how could the students participate in this campaign.
The session was followed by Question & Answer session and discussion.
