Alzheimer’s Pakistan in collaboration with University of Southampton, UK is organising a Seminar on Friday the 20th of April 2018 at 03:00 pm at Shalimar Hall, Faletti’s Hotel, Lahore to disseminate the findings of our international collative psychosocial research on Understanding, Beliefs and Treatment of Dementia in Pakistan.

Alzheimer’s Pakistan has conducted this research in collaboration with University of Southampton, UK, Brighton and Sussex Medical School, UK, Hands and Aga Khan University. The focus of this research has been to understand challenges of dementia in the socio-cultural context of Pakistan. The overall goal has been to analyse the experiences of patients with mild dementia and their family caregivers in Pakistan. Additional insights are also drawn from the focus group discussions with the general population and interviews of key stakeholders in Karachi and Lahore. After the presentation of the research results, a panel discussion shall be held to discuss the results of the research and their possible implications.

    Note: It is mandatory for all the volunteers to raise a donation of Rs. 2000 by selling Alzheimer’s Pakistan’s information cards worth 100 rupees (each card) in addition to the above mentioned commitment. All volunteers will be awarded with an acknowledgment certificate.
