Alzheimer’s Pakistan launched the Dementia Friends Movement in Pakistan on March 07, 2018 during a Seminar organized in collaboration with the Psychology Department of Lahore Garrison University.

The Kinnaird College Lahore organized a T-20 Kinnaird College Cricket Tournament during the World Alzheimer’s Month. The final of the Tournament was played at the Kinnaird College, Cricket Ground on Sept 22, 2017.
Alzheimer’s Pakistan participated in this highly publicized event and put-up banners at the event. Alzheimer’s Pakistan also setup an awareness stall, which was visited by a large number of payers and college students, who showed keen interest in becoming volunteers for the society.

The Kinnaird Challengers clinched the Tournament trophy after thumping Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) by five wickets in the final match of the tournament.

Kinnaird College, batting first, posted 122-8 on the board in 20 overs. Sidra Amin was top scorer with 59 runs. In reply, the Lahore College team did not do well and proved to be no match to the strong Kinnaird College team as they were all for a total of 71 runs. Sidra Amin was declared the player of the match.

Dr. Rukhsana David, Principal, Kinnaird College For Women was the Chief Guest at the final of the tournament and gave away the prizes to the winning teams.

    Note: It is mandatory for all the volunteers to raise a donation of Rs. 2000 by selling Alzheimer’s Pakistan’s information cards worth 100 rupees (each card) in addition to the above mentioned commitment. All volunteers will be awarded with an acknowledgment certificate.
