Alzheimer’s Pakistan Rawalpindi Chapter (APRC) scheduled a Students’ Conference on Alzheimer’s disease & related Dementias, on 24th Sep 2016 at Rawalpindi Medical College, New Teaching Block, Holy Family Hospital, Rawalpindi for the students of medical and behavioral sciences of local universities and medical colleges.

This conference’s objective were to sensitize both the medical and the civic community regarding the emerging epidemic of Alzheimer’s & related Dementias due to increasing life spans, the projected increase in absolute number of People Living with Dementia in Pakistan by the year 2050 when the “young Cohorts” of “today” will be in the senior citizens cohort, the effects of sedentary lifestyles, pollution, drug abuse and obesity.

Eminent guest Speakers graced the occasion and shared their knowledge on Alzheimer’s and related Dementias with the audience. Alzheimer’s Pakistan is grateful to all the speakers and the attendees for making the conference a success.
