Alzheimer’s Awareness Month Seminar & Awareness Walk

On September 4, 2023, the Army Public College for Boys hosted an insightful seminar and a heartwarming awareness walk to mark Alzheimer’s Awareness Month. With the esteemed presence of Dr. Hussain Jafri as the guest speaker, it was a day of education, compassion, and unity in the fight against Alzheimer’s.

Seminar Highlights:

Dr. Hussain Jafri, Secretary General Alzheimer’s Pakistan, graced the event with his expertise and profound insights on Alzheimer’s disease. His talk shed light on the importance of early detection, caregiving strategies, and the issues related to this particular disease globally as well as in Pakistan. The Principal, Brig. (R) Syed Ahsan Raza Zaidi extend his deepest gratitude to Dr. Hussain Jafri for gracing with his presence and sharing his knowledge. He presented a souvenir for the services of Alzheimer’s Pakistan in awareness, advocacy and Daycare Club for the PWDs.

On September 7, 2023, Alzheimer’s Pakistan, in partnership with New Advance College of Nursing & Allied Health Science, hosted a captivating Alzheimer’s Awareness Lecture by Dr. Hussain Jafri, Secretary General of Alzheimer’s Pakistan.

An Awareness Session on Alzheimer’s and related dementia in commemoration of Alzheimer’s Month

Alzheimer’s Pakistan in collaboration with The Women University Multan and The National Psychiatriy Hospital Multan conducted an awareness session on Alzheimer’s and related dementia in commemoration of Alzheimer’s Month.

Approximately 300 students from Department of Applied Psychology The Women University Multan and faculty were the participants. The key guests were Vice Chancellor of The Women University Multan Prof. Dr. Kalsoom Paracha, Mrs. Tasneem Siddiqui, ex-Principal of Girls College Multan & clinical psychologist Mrs. Afifa Shahzad National Hospital Multan. Dr.A.Sajjad Siddiqui (Consultant Psychiatrist) Coordinator Multan and South Punjab Alzheimer’s Pakistan briefly discussed the disease its physical and social consequence in terms of global and national context.
